Hosted as family
Patmos Homes is a small collection personally cared for by the Tsakona family. Our approach is simple: thoughtful homes, honest recommendations and help whenever our guests need it.
Patmos is our home
For us, Patmos is not simply a destination. It is our home. This is where we were born and raised, where many generations of our family have lived, and where we still live today. Our grandparents were among the first people to build a home of their own on the island, at a time when Patmos was still a very different place. Our love of hospitality began many years ago, with our grandmother, Eirini. Around forty years ago — long before the platforms that make finding a place to stay so easy today — she would open her house and host visitors on Patmos. It was her own way of sharing with people something of the place she loved. That is how it all began. Our first home, in Skala, took her name — Eirinaki House. It was a small tribute to the woman from whom, perhaps without knowing it at the time, we inherited our love of hospitality. Along the way we realised this was something we truly loved. And we decided to carry it on, creating the enplo villas in Grikos. To this day, enplo and eirinaki remain a family affair. Our mum, a teacher, is behind the immaculate cleanliness and the meticulous organisation. Our dad, Stefanos, a mathematician, has built many of the houses' furnishings himself, using wood found in the sea as well as timber from old houses of Patmos. Many of the small details you will come across in the houses were made by us. Because we wanted the homes to carry something of us — and something of Patmos: the island's history, its materials and its simplicity. I, Chrysa, look after the bookings, the dates, the rates and, above all, the communication with our guests. It is perhaps the part I love most: getting to know the people who choose to spend their holidays in our home, and being able to help them feel truly welcome. My brother, Michalis, is there for arrivals and departures, for check-in and check-out, for the first welcome and for anything guests may need while they are here. Because what our grandmother taught us over all these years is that hospitality is not just a beautiful house. It is opening your door and telling someone “welcome”. And meaning it. This is enplo and eirinaki — a piece of our home on Patmos, which we open with joy and share with you.
A home almost in the sea
The name enplo was born from the very feeling of the place. The houses stand so close to the sea that at moments you feel you are almost upon it. At night, when everything falls quiet, you hear the waves from your bed. As if you were sleeping in the sea. And perhaps that is the simplest description of enplo: a home that does not separate you from the sea, but brings you as close to it as you can possibly be.
Meet your hosts
Chrysa
A biologist, born and raised on beautiful Patmos. I look after the bookings, and talking with our guests is the part I love most — I want everyone who comes to feel they aren't just renting a villa, but being welcomed into a home with history, character and a lot of love.
Stefanos
A mathematician and a resident of Patmos for many years. I love the island, the sea and the unique beauty of our home. Together with my family, we take joy in hosting guests in our houses and sharing with them the authentic experience of Patmos.

Michalis Tsakonas, 30, with studies in Agronomy and Mechatronics, is an active young man with a special love for Patmos. Welcoming and always willing to help, he enjoys greeting guests and doing his part to make their stay on the island as beautiful and comfortable as possible.
